Orc / Scandinavian Mythology

Orcs are depicted in Norse mythology as evil and ugly creatures, and their curiosity to eat human flesh. They usually live in the mountains and in cold climates. According to the legends of the Orcs, when the world was created, the gods gathered and began to like a place for the races they created. In an order that Gruumsh, the god of the orcs, saw as a trick, they left him in the last place and started to choose him. They even took the seas in which a multitude of creatures live, while the gods said in turn: “I created humans and put them on the plains”, “I created the elves and put them in the woods”, “I created the halflings and put them in the hollows in the hills”…

When it was Gruumsh's turn, his eyes were burning with anger. He took his spear and began to pierce the earth. Stones came out of every place he hit, sands came out, forests and plains deteriorated. Volcanoes erupted, greenery withered and died. On top of that, Gruumsh; “My children will also live here. Unlike your children who grow fat and lazy on fertile soil, they will be sharpened. When the day comes, they will come to the forests, the plains, even into the hollows of the hills and to the bottom of the sea and destroy them all. The world will be ours too!” he said.
