Abra is one of two giant dragon-like snakes living underground in Turkish mythology. They have a crocodile-like appearance. They have forked tails and four legs. Their eyes are bright copper in color and they have a boat-flat jaw. They have a greatness that strikes fear into the hearts of those who see it. With very strong jaws, they can swallow an elephant in one bite. Four underground creatures are mentioned as Ker Abra, Ker Yutpa, Ker Arat and Ker Doydu. In the sources, these four are considered to be the same entity. However, this huge frightening creature was assigned to protect Erlik's palace and was known as his servant.
